font size

Senior officials of Chinese and Israeli communist parties on Monday pledged to promote the party ties.

"The Communist Party of China (CPC) would like to step up friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Communist Party of Isreal (CPI)," said Liu Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, in a meeting with visiting CPI General Secretary Issam Makhoul.

The ties between the two parties and two countries will get better through concerted efforts of the two sides, said Liu, also secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

Hailing China's remarkable achievements over the past years, the Israeli general secretary said China's development and its increasing influence will benefit world peace and stability.

He said the CPI would like to enhance its friendly ties with the CPC and boost the overall relations between Israel and China.
