2006 SINOCES opens in Qingdao

China International Consumer Electronics Show opened in Qingdao on July 7, 2006.

Consumer electronics business develops rapidly with increasingly upgrading technology and adding new products, which have enriched the life of the people. Increased cooperation and communication in the consumer electronics sphere has played a positive role in the promotion of major technical mergers, the enhancement of innovation capability and the impetus of economy growth, according to Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan, who is also a member of the political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Zeng noted that the 2006 SINOCES gives a comprehensive demonstration of new technologies and new products on a global scale and builds a good platform for the exchange and cooperation in the field of service electronics industry in China and other countries. He expressed the hope to prompt multilateral and bilateral cooperation in economy and technology, make up each other's deficiency and impel the development and prosperity in electronic industry.

This session of SINOCES is held jointly by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, the Shandong provincial people's government. And the USA Consume Electron Association (CEA) sponsors overseas. And the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce and the Qingdao municipal people's government undertook the show with a subject of "the world changes from U".

This session of SINOCES has attracted 392 enterprises, which put up a total of 1,206 standard booths with a total area of 350 million square meters. And there are 82 overseas enterprises partaking in the exposition.

The four-day 2006 SINOCES has its contents divided into seven parts, such as family video and acoustics equipment, family entertainment, family websites, the home-use electric appliances, portable office facilities, mobile communication equipment and mobile memory products.
