The corner stone laying ceremony of the Changbai Mountain Airport was held on July 10th in Fusong county in Northeast China's Jilin province. The project, with an investment totaling 360 million Yuan, is planed to be completed in August in 2008.

According to the layout, the airport, being set as a minor internal travel airdrome, will mainly serve the development of the tourism resources in Changbai Mountain area, and will achieve a throughput of 540,000 people.
