Chinese state councilor attends DPRK reception commemorating friendship treaty

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan attended a reception marking the 45th anniversary of the signing of a friendship treaty between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Beijing Wednesday.

The reception was held by Choe Jin Su, ambassador of the DPRK to China.

Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, also attended the reception.

Yang arrived in Beijing on Tuesday morning for a five-day visit. Chinese President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo had met with him.

He had attended a reception held by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-DPRK Friendship Association on Tuesday evening marking the anniversary.
