The key indexes of the Malaysia stock market slumped as it closed on Friday due to heavy selling amid concerns over higher crude oil prices.
The 100-quality stock Composite Index, which opened 1.06 points lower at 925.49, eased 12.92 points to 913.63 at the closing bell.
The Second Board Index was 3.22 points lower to 90.92 and the Industrial Index declined 36.06 points to 1,885.20.
The Emas decreased 96.56 points to 5,947.16.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 827 to 90, with 164 counters unchanged and 239 untraded.
Volume reported 1.16 billion shares worth 1.24 billion ringgit (335.13 million U.S. dollars), compared with 915.66 million shares worth 1.20 billion ringgit (324.32 million U.S. dollars) on Thursday.
