Chao Chien-ming, son-in-law of Taiwan's Chen Shuibian, has been told not to walk around freely in the Taiwan University Hospital, where he works as a orthopedist, the hospital said in a press release Friday.

Beginning Friday, Chao will not be allowed to walk into operation rooms and emergency wards, and meanwhile, he has to enter his own office with the company of hospital guards.

Since May, Chao had been detained for 47 days and currently he is still restrained from his job, for involvement in a local property company. So far, he has not applied for resuming his work, according to the hospital.

The hospital has been criticized as Chao's "shelter" for allowing him to hide in its operation room two times, in an attempt to escape from media people's chase.

On Monday, local prosecutors announced they had completed investigations on the case and were seeking an eight-year jail term for Chao on charges of insider trading of shares of Taiwan Development and Trust Corp. Six others, including Chao's father and the property company's chairman, were also indicted for jail terms for their involvement in the same case.
