Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Friday approved a list of new targets of Lebanon's Hizbollah guerillas in the ongoing military offensive in Lebanon, local newspaper The Jerusalem Post reported.

Olmert made the decision at a meeting with security chiefs, said the report.

The report did not reveal further details.

Earlier, Israeli warplanes launched several airstrikes on southern Beirut, a stronghold of Hizbollah. No casualties were reported.

Israel has stepped up air raids on Lebanese targets and blockaded Lebanese sea ports following a cross-border attack by Hizbollah guerillas during which two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and eight killed.

At least 60 Lebanese, most of them civilians, have been killed and about 200 others wounded since the start of the Israeli operation on Wednesday.

Hizbollah showered northern Israel with salvos of rockets, killing two people and wounding about 100.
