font size

Lebanese Hizbollah denied on Sundayan Israeli report that the group's leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallahhad been injured in an Israeli raid, Hizbollah's al-Manar television channel reported.

"We deny doubtless that Hassan Nasrallah has been injured," an official from the group was quoted as saying, terming the report "is mere Israel propaganda".

Hizbollah made the remarks in response to an early report by Israel's Channel Two television that Nasrallah had been wounded.

Israel waged massive air raids and imposed sea blockade on Lebanon in response to a cross-border attack by Hizbollah militants who kidnapped two Israeli soldiers and killed eight others on Wednesday.
