Two U.S. soldiers were killed in two attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.
A soldier from the U.S. 1st Armored Division was killed on July 18 by "enemy action" while on duty in the western Anbar province, the military said in a statement.
Another soldier died of wounds sustained due to roadside bomb explosion at about 4:55 p.m. on Monday in southern Baghdad, the military said in a separate statement.
The names of the soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the statements said.
The latest deaths have brought to more than 2,545 the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq since the start of the U.S.- led invasion in March 2003.
