Iran will hold an annual international industrial fair from Sept. 17-20 in Tehran, local newspaper Tehran Times reported on Tuesday.
Over 200 domestic companies so far have expressed their interest in taking part in the 6th International Exhibition on Industry, Abdul-Hamid Javadi, chairman of Iran's Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO), was quoted as saying.
He estimated that there would be 400 domestic companies signing up the industrial fair to be held at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.
Such an annual exhibition can be used as a platform to display Iran's capabilities and to help attract more foreign companies, Javadi said.
Some 400 foreign companies and 350 Iranian firms took part in the 5th International Exhibition on Industry last year, which showcased machinery, equipment, tools and automation, according to the report.
