China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) announced Tuesday that its crude oil output reached 140.89 million barrels in the first six months, up 3.07 percent from the same period of last year.
According to statistics released by Sinopec, it produced 126.2 billion cubic feet of natural gas, up 20.42 percent year on year.
Sinopec processed 71.68 million tons of crude in the first six months, a year-on-year increase of 5.29 percent.
Sinopec's output of diesel and light chemical feedstock rose by 7.64 percent and 12.89 percent respectively, while the output of gasoline dropped 0.8 percent and kerosene, down 6.19 percent.
In the chemical sector, Sinopec's output of ethylene and synthetic resins rose by 24.53 percent and 18.59 percent respectively from the same period of last year.
However, the output of urea dropped by 9.22 percent.
Sinopec's total domestic sales volume of refined oil products rose by 6.99 percent year on year to 54.32 million tons in the first half year of 2006.
