Greece decided to provide humanitarian aid to Lebanon, the Greek Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.

A C-130 military transport plane will fly medical supplies on Thursday morning to Lebanon, it said.

It said that the aid was being sent in response to a request from Lebanon government to the EU.

The Foreign Ministry said that Greece will also participate in the second stage of Lebanon's reconstruction as soon as the process.
