Toyota recalls more than 2,000 LEXUS RX300 in China
font size

China's market watchdog said that Toyota will recall 2,314 LEXUS RX300 in China as of July 28, due to some hidden safety troubles.

A report released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on Thursday said that these cars were manufactured between February 10, 2003 and May 24, 2005.

According to the report, on those cars a fastener of the rug near the driver's seat was not properly fixed, and if the fastener turns loose, it may affect the movement of the fuel pedal, resulting in braking problems.

The company will mail emergency notices to vehicle owners and ask them to send their cars in for repair.
