Indonesian firms sign gas supply deals

A number of Indonesian firms Monday signed gas supply agreements worth of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars that will begin in 2007.

According to the agreements, BP Onshore Northwest Java will supply 137 trillion British thermal unit (BTU) of gas to fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Kujang for an 11-year term, PT Medco E and P Indonesia to supply 6.8 trillion BTU to PT Mitra Energi Buana and state oil and gas firm PT pertamina to supply state-run electricity company PLN 323.7 trillion BTU.

The three agreements were signed here at the presence of Oil and Gas Executive Body (BP Migas) head Kardaya Warnika.
