font size

A senior Chinese legislator said on Monday that China and Japan should enhance youth exchanges to further promote friendship between the two countries.

Xu Jialu, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, made the remarks when addressing a youth delegation from Soka Gakkai, Japan's largest lay Buddhist group.

The 200-member-strong Japanese youth delegation, headed by the organization's vice president Tanigawa Yoshiki, is on a China tour from July 21 to 26, as guests of the All-China Youth Federation.
