The South Korean government has decided to provide 500,000 U.S. dollars to Lebanon to help people suffering the latest clashes there, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
"The government decided to provide the aid as it regrets some 380 people in Lebanon have been killed as of Tuesday while 1,500 others are injured and about 700,000 people are displaced from their homes," the spokesman told reporters.
"The government hopes the Lebanese government and its people will overcome the sorrow caused by this calamity and return to their normal life at an early date," the spokesman added.
