Macao CE meets Thai deputy prime minister

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Somkid Jatusripitak here on Tuesday.

A press release issued by the Information Bureau said Somkid and his delegation arrived in Macao from Hong Kong and paid a courtesy call on Ho.

The two, during their meeting, expressed "strong willingness" to further enhance cooperation in trade and tourism between Macao and Thailand, said the release.

The Thai official is scheduled to leave for the mainland city of Guangzhou Wednesday to continue his tour in China, it added.
