Intel regains its share on China's market
font size

Through successive efforts including price reduction, Intel has begun to regain market share in China.

On Tuesday, Intel announced that through cutting the price of chips and presenting new products, their market share in China increased 1.5 percent between March and May, and they will perform much better in the next half year.

Recently Intel reduced the prices of processor Saiyang, Pentium-4, Pentium-D and Conroe, and the decline surpassed 50 percent. At the same time, Intel made full use of its leading status and mobilized the industries in the lower position to develop cooperatively, so as to explore new products and service platform unceasingly. It has been learnt that on Thursday they are to present their newest products Intel Core 2 Duo.

However, the most recently released fiscal report of the second quarter by Intel shows that they have lost some turnover because of price reduction, with a fall of 13 percent over the same period of last year, and 14 percent decline in Asian areas (except Japan).
