At least four people died of snakebite Thursday in two different districts of mid-western Nepal, local media reported in Kathmadu Friday.
"At least two children of 12 and 14 years old died at the local government-run Bheri District Hospital at Nepalgunj city of Banke district, some 600 km west of Kathmandu," The Kathmandu Post (TKP), a private English language national daily, reported.
Meanwhile, at least two commoners including a young girl and a child died of snakebite in Dang district, some 400 km west of Kathmandu, government own National News Agency (NNA) of Nepal reported.
"The 16-year-old girl died in course of the treatment at a local hospital while the other six-year old child died in his house," NNA reported.
In the Terai belt of southern part of Nepal, snakes bite dozens of people every day on an average during summer season.
