Manama fire kills 16

Sixteen people were killed when a three-storey building caught fire in the Bahraini capital of Manama on Sunday, Bahrain's official BNA news agency reported.

The victims, all from Asia, died from smoke inhalation, BNA quoted an Interior Ministry statement as saying.

The statement said that seven people were also injured in the fire.
