One Lebanese soldier was killed and three others were wounded by Israeli naval fire near the southern Lebanese port city of Tyre on Monday, local media reported.

A Lebanese army post in the coastal village of Qasmiyeh, north of Tyre, came under the Israeli navy fire on Monday, said the reports.

Early on Monday, Israel announced suspending airstrikes on southern Lebanon for 48 hours following a deadly air raid on the southern Lebanese village of Qana, which killed over 50 people including many children.
