Bangladesh Monday expressed deep shock over the death of 54 innocent Lebanese citizens, 37 of them children, in a blitzkrieg Israeli air attack on the village of Qana.
"This wanton act was perpetrated in gross defiance of all norms of international law and civilized behavior," the local news agency UNB quoted a foreign ministry spokesman as saying.
It deserves outright condemnation by the entire international community, he said.
The spokesman said Israel's militaristic action stands exposed, above and beyond its brutal occupation of Palestine and Arab lands.
"Such reckless attack on civilians remain on record as a crime against humanity," the spokesman said, as the hellish act of civilian massacre outraged all around the globe.
