NBS to announce top 500 Chinese enterprises in September

The sixth national meeting on Chinese Major Enterprises and concurrently the first meeting to release China's top 500 enterprises with greatest competitiveness is expected to be held at the national capital of Beijing in September.

At the meeting, China's top 500 enterprises and the "development report on the competitive power of Chinese large enterprises in 2006" will be issued for the first time. Meanwhile, a high-level forum and a special-report meeting themed on "innovation, competitiveness and convention breaking----China's economic flattop from a new starting-point" will also be convened.

It has been learnt that the indexes appraisal system is made up of capability index and mechanism index, with supportive data offered by service industry survey center of NBS, and the China Industrial Information Release Center takes charge of concrete organizational work and execution.
