Hong Kong International Airport gradually resumed operation on Friday though there are still 184 flights canceled or delayed.

152 arrival and departure flights are delayed and 38 are canceled due to adverse weather by 13:00 p.m. local time (0500 GMT) on Friday, according to the Hong Kong Airport Authority.

Hong Kong Dragon Air announced that five flights are canceled on Friday including flights between Hong Kong and Beijing. Nine of its flights departed and 16 flights arrived at Hong Kong by 12:45 p.m. local time ( 0445 GMT) on Friday, Hong Kong Dragon Air said.

The Hong Kong Airport Authority advised passengers to confirm the latest flight information with their airlines before departing for the airport.

Typhoon Prapiroon struck Hong Kong on Thursday, bringing strong wind and heavy rain. Up to 3,000 passengers were stranded at the airport while over 800 flights were affected, and some of the sea and land traffic halted.
