Problematic drug kills 2, sickens 48
The photo taken on Aug. 4, 2006 shows the clindamycin phosphate glucose injection, which was confirmed to kill six-year-old girl Liu Sichen, in in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. Liu reportedly had an intravenous injection of the clindamycin phosphate made by the Anhui Huayuan Worldbest Biology Pharmacy Co. at about 2:00 p.m. on July 24. The girl, who was being treated for a common cold, became seriously ill with a high fever within 20 minutes of the injection by a trained nurse at her home. She was transferred to two hospitals for emergency treatment, but was declared dead on July 27.

Forest caught on fire in Sichuan province
The photo taken on August 3, 2006 shows the fire in a forest in Hejiang County of Luzhou, southwest China's Sichuan Province, August 3, 2006. Over 200 armed policemen and firemen were dispatched there to fight against the fire in the help of more than 1,000 local people. The fire was almost extinguished by Thursday night.
