Australian dollar closes weaker

The Australian dollar ended weaker at 76.16 U.S. cents Friday compared with Thursday's close of 76.41.

During the day's session it reached a low of 75.99 U.S. cents and a high of 76.26.

The currency finished at 87.74 yen compared to Thursday's close of 87.67 yen and at 59.56 euro cents from 59.84.
