font size

Macao's Health Bureau (HB) Tuesday announced that the region registered the second imported dengue fever case this year.

The victim, a 19-year-old student, had visited Thailand in July. After returning to Macao, she came down with a fever and later developed a rash.

The teenager's condition was stated as "satisfactory" in hospital and the family who traveled with her to Thailand have shown no symptoms of the disease.

The HB urged travelers who develop a fever on return to Macao to seek immediate medical advice.
