Kuwait's exports has reached 861.99 billion Kuwaiti dinars (about 2930.8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2000-2005, the Kuwait News Agency reported on Sunday.
A statistical bulletin by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry was quoted as saying that Kuwaiti exports in 2005 alone reached 193.54 billion dinars (658.036 billion dollars), recording the highest rate in the last six years.
Among the total exports in 2000-2005, the exports to the other five member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) reached 3. 073 billion dinars (10.448 billion dollars), said the bulletin.
But it indicated that the figure did not include the exports to GCC members in 2004-2005 as the GCC, which groups Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, launched a Customs Union in 2003.
During the same period of 2000-2005, Kuwait's exports to other Arab states reached 304.8 million dinars (1036.32 million dollars), according to the bulletin.
