Jordanian government spokesperson Nasser Judeh affirmed on Tuesday that Jordan will not participate in the international forces which would be deployed in the southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Nasser Judeh reiterated that Jordan will not hesitate to provide support to Lebanon.
Since the beginning of the aggression against Lebanon, Jordan has demanded an immediate halt and lasting cease-fire as well as being supportive of the stand of the Lebanese government, he said.
On Sunday, the Jordanian King Abdullah II has expressed Jordan's attitude towards the cease-fire through a phone call conversation with Lebanese Premier Fouad Siniora and confirmed Jordan's support for the Lebanese government.
As a key part of the ceasefire United Nation Security Council's resolution on the Lebanon crisis, multinational forces would be deployed in tandem with Lebanese forces.
There is currently a 2,000-member UN force in Lebanon, and the force will be boosted up to 15,000 troops, in which Lebanon is contributing 15,000 of its own soldiers.
Italy, France, Malaysia and Turkey have all indicated they would be willing to participate in the international forces to deploy in south Lebanon.
