NBS: Industrial production growth drops in July

The added value of China's industrial enterprises (including all the state-owned enterprises and non state-owned ones with an annual income of products sales exceeding 5 million yuan) amounted to 720 billion yuan in July, up 16.7 percent on the same period of 2005 and the growth rate somewhat slowed down as compared with 17.7 percent growth of the first half of the year, according to the statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released on Aug.15th.

It is learned that products sales of industrial enterprises stood at 98.29 percent in July, a drop of 0.32 percentage points from last July and the delivery value of exports reached 487.7 billion yuan, an increase of 21.8 percent year-on-year.
