The gold price in Hong Kong went up 17 HK dollars to 5,789 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 625.36 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 1.95 U.S. dollars at Wednesday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7705 HK dollars.
