Gu Xiulian, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, met with Ingrida Udre, chairwoman of the Parliament of Latvia, here on Friday.

Udre kicked off her visit on Aug. 12 at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart Wu Bangguo, and is leaving on Saturday.
