The Indonesian government will allocate a fund of 374 billion rupiah (around 41.1 million U.S. dollars) from the state budget to finance the deployment of peacekeeping troops to Lebanon, an official said Friday.

"This is a bridging fund. The United Nations will pay back after three of four months," Vice President Jusuf Kalla was quoted by the Detikcom news website as saying.

The Indonesian Military has readied some 1,000 personnel to join the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.

Local media reports said the Indonesian troops would leave for Lebanon in the next two weeks.
