Siemens Information Systems Ltd (SISL), the IT subsidiary of Siemens Ltd, is expecting 20 percent growth in turnover in 2005-06, Indo-Asian News Agency reported Friday.

The SISL, a joint venture of Siemens Ltd. (India) and Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme of Germany, reported 6.35 billion rupees (147 million U.S. dollars) of turnover in 2004-05 fiscal year ending in September 2005.

The SISL, started operation in July 1992 in India, specializing in systems integration and IT solutions, also expects the turnover to double in next five years.

The company has received contracts not only for Siemens companies but also for other corporate clients, which is to drive the growth, said Anil Laud, the SISL managing director.

"We expect that other companies will contribute 85 percent of business and share of business from Siemens will be 15 percent in the next two years," Laud said.

The SISL now has operated at Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai with 4,200 employees.

"We hope to employ 750 people in the Kolkata center at Millennium Towers in the near future," Laud said.
