Gold price lower in Hong Kong -- Aug. 18

The gold price in Hong Kong went down 140 HK dollars to 5,679 HK dollars per tael on Friday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 613.84 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 15.05 U.S. dollars at Friday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7660 HK dollars.
