Public support for Chen Shui-bian falls to 10%

Based on a new public poll conducted by a Taiwanese TV station, TVBS, support for Chen Shui-bian amongst Taiwanese has plummeted to 10%, the lowest so far, during the dates August 14th to 15th.

The poll shows that 87% of Taiwanese know about the campaign to oust Chen from office, which is lead by Shi Ming-the, former chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party. 46% of Taiwanese are willing to denote 100 New Taiwan Dollars to the campaign and it is also indicates that 73% of Taiwanese are not satisfied with Chen Shui-ban because of Chen's insider-trading scandal.

Besides this, up until August 17th, Shi Ming-the has reportedly collected 65.71 million New Taiwan Dollars from more than 650,000 supporters for his campaign.
