Three suspects admit involvement in Moscow market blast

Three suspects had admitted that they masterminded the explosion in a Moscow market, in which 10 people were killed and 55 others wounded, the Interfax news agency reported on Tuesday.

The suspects, all under 25 years old, had been detained on suspicion of setting off a bomb in Moscow's Cherkizovsky market on Monday morning, an unidentified investigator was quoted as saying.

Two of the suspects were caught by market vendors shortly after the blast on Monday. The third was arrested by police Tuesday morning, the investigator added.

Investigation was still underway to find out whether other people were also involved in the blast.

The three learned how to make bombs from the Internet. The bomb that exploded in Cherkizovsky market was made by one of them who had studied chemistry at university, Interfax reported.

According to Moscow's chief prosecutor Yury Syomin, the bomb was a home-made device and contained more than 1 kg of TNT explosives.

Charges are likely to be brought against the three soon.
