Report on Taiwan leader flying to Palau via Singapore refuted
font size

A spokesman from Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday refuted a report in Taiwan's United Daily News, which speculated that a Taiwan leader may fly to Palau via Singapore.

"I know that Taiwanese newspapers are often less than totally accurate in their reporting, but I am surprised to learn that they have totally lost their sense of direction," the spokesman said in a statement.

"A glance at any map would show that Singapore is not on the way from Taiwan to Palau. The report is totally false," the spokesman added.
