The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and the Zimbabwe Investment Center (ZIC) will send a delegation to attend the Tourism 2006 Investment Partnership Promotion Conference in Windhoek, Namibia in October, the tourism authority said on Friday.
The authority said 15 Zimbabwean tourism projects have been selected to participate in the conference, where the project promoters would meet with prospective partners from the European Union (EU) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Zimbabwe's tourism projects cover areas such as accommodation, conferences, touring services, water-based activities, casinos and marina development.
Early this year, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority facilitated two EU-SADC Investment Promotion Program (ESIPP) awareness workshops in Harare and Victoria Falls where local tourism investors were given the opportunity to submit projects to be considered under the program.
The program is a business to business initiative targeted at the SADC member states to get investment partners from the EU countries and the SADC region.
