    Chinese company to reconstruct Afghan road

    Bus-truck collision kills 17

    Photo taken on August 26, 2006 shows a destroyed bus after it crashed into a parked truck on a freeway in Shaoguan, south China's Guangdong Province early Saturday morning. 17 people were killed and 33 injured.

    Rescue and reconstruction under way after earthquake

    Soldiers build tents for victims whose houses were destroyed in the earthquake in Yanjin County, Southwest China's Yunnan Province on Aug 26. At least two person is dead and 31 others injured, including 10 seriously, after an earthquake measuring 5.1 degrees on the Richter scale jolted the city at 1:51 p.m Friday.
