Macao's Commission Against Corruption (CAC) has detained two senior officials of the Finance Service Bureau (FSB) over the charge of "abuse of power," a CAC statement said on Monday.
The statement said the two, one FSB deputy director and one department head, are suspected of purchasing confiscated goods for half of the price, taking advantage of their chair positions on a public sale held in March.
The two were believed to demand their staffs to withdraw a number of confiscated items from the selling list, according to the statement.
The case has been transferred to the Public Prosecution for further investigations, it said.
