The gold price in Hong Kong went up 54 HK dollars to 5,738 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 620.69 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 6.63 U.S. dollars at Thursday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.769 HK dollars.
