Zambia's annual inflation rate drops to eight percentZambia's annual inflation rate dropped to eight percent last month, 0.7 percentage point lower than that in July, the Central Statistical Office of Zambia announced on Friday. The rate declined by 11.3 percentage points from 19.3 percent in August 2005. The food basket last month costed 653,594 kwacha (about 168 U.S. dollars) for a family of six.
