NBA player deeply interested in Chinese culture, said Yao

Chinese center Yao Ming said Saturday that NBA players are deeply interested in Chinese culture though he has never intentionally introduced it.

"I keep some Chinese-style habits while they take special interest in them, so I will make some explanations which lead them to more questions," Yao told Xinhua.

Yao, who led China to the knockout stage at the World Basketball Championship in Japan last month, will leave for the upcoming NBA new season.

China suffered an early exit following a bitter 95-64 mauling to European champions Greece.
