Jordan is due to participate in the coming 10th China International Fair for Investment and Trade ( CIFIT) from Sept. 8 to 12 in Xiamen, a port city in east China's Fujian Province.

The Executive Director of Jordan Investment Board Maan Nsour, who is due to head the Jordanian delegation, said that the fair will be an opportunity to introduce Jordanian economic and investment potentials to Chinese and other world businessmen both private and public investors.

According to the CIFIT organizing committee, a total of 236 organizations from 63 countries and regions are booked to attend the 10th CIFIT.

The participants include the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and so forth.

Jordan's imports from China reached 522 million U.S. dollars in the first half of 2006, whereas its exports to China stood at 7.6 million dollars.
