German stocks open higher

German stocks opened higher on Monday on the Frankfurt market.

The 30-share benchmark DAX index climbed up 0.35 percent or 20.40 points to 5,896.94, compared with the previous close on Friday.

The MDAX index of medium-sized companies edged up 0.29 percent or 23.93 points to 8,227.19.

The TecDAX index of technologies and science firms was up 0.17 percent to 652.93 points.
