China's top advisory committee to meet in October

Leaders of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a meeting here Monday, deciding that Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee will meet in October.

The upcoming meeting will focus on the issue of building a harmonious socialist society.

The Meeting also decided that Sept. 5-6, the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee hold two separate meetings to discuss issues of promoting the Go-West strategy and implementing government's long-term plan on the development of sci-tech.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the Monday's meeting.
