The third ministerial meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum will be held from Nov. 3-5 in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced Tuesday.
The summit will focus on the subject of "friendship, peace, cooperation and development". Both Chinese and African leaders will review the achievements of China-Africa friendship cooperation over the past 50 years, and blueprint bilateral future cooperation, Qin said.
Leaders from the two sides will also exchange opinions on major international issues, he said.
The Beijing summit comes after President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao visited several African countries in April and June respectively this year, Qin said.
The China-Africa Cooperation Forum has become an "important" and "efficient" mechanism for collective dialogue between the two sides since it was launched in 2000, the spokesman said.
