font size

Vice Premier Hui Liangyu on Tuesday in Beijing called for companies from China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to increase exchanges and cooperation.

"China and the UAE in recent years have seen remarkable progress in bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, science, technology, culture and justice," Hui told David Lawrence Jackson, chief executive officer of the Istithmar, an international investment house based in the UAE.

Hui said Chinese and UAE companies should constantly expand cooperation spheres and achieve win-win results to promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

"Istithmar" means investment in Arabic. Established in 2003, Istithmar is an international investment house focusing on private equity, real estate and other alternative investments.
