China urges peaceful settlement of Iranian nuclear issue
font size

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Thursday that China holds the position of peacefully settling the Iranian nuclear issue through negotiations and dialogues.

"China has never changed such a policy," Qin told a regular press conference when asked to make comments on whether China will alter its stance over the Iranian nuclear issue.

Zhang Yan, director-general of the Arms Control and Disarmament Department of China's Foreign Ministry, will attend a meeting on the Iran nuclear issue in Berlin on Sept. 7.
